Entries close at 8pm on the 4th February. Results will be published between 5th - 6th February
Please note: All entries to The Mane Show will appear in the public domain and by entering you are accepting this condition.
We run an annual points-based ACCUMALATOR competition, giving you the opportunity to win more rosettes and prizes!
Every time you are placed in a class, you are awarded points on the accumulator score board. Full details can be found here.

SCHEDULE
Horses, ponies, donkeys & mules are ALL welcome.
Rosettes to 8th place in each class and the winner receives a prize and free entry into the Arena Championship.
Arena's 1,2 & 3: Photo Classes - Entry Fee: £3.50
Arena 4: Video Classes - Entry Fee: £5

ARENA 1
​
Class 1 Mixed or Unknown Breeds
Open to all horses & ponies of mixed or unknown breeding.
Judged on presentation, conformation, condition and wow factor.
Collages are allowed, a full side on body shot needs to be submitted
First prize: Medal to class winner.
Class 2 - Best In Hand Horse or Pony (Photos of the horse inhand)
Open to all breeds and types. To be judged on conformation and overall wow factor!
A full body photo is required and you may submit ready-made collage photos if you feel this best shows your horse or pony's type to the judge.
First prize: Medal to class winner.

Class 3 - Best Veteran age 15 + (Horses and ponies over the age of 15) Sponsored by The Ripley Collection
Ridden, Inhand, at liberty, or driven
You can choose any type of photo that you feel best shows off your veteran horse.
Please include your horses age with your entry.
Ready-made collage photos are allowed.
First prize: An item from The Ripley Collection's Bespoke Equestrian Jewellery.

Class 4 -- Showing Stars
To be judged on best example of type, conformation, condition, turnout, way of going (where ridden). A full body photo is required and you may submit collage photos if you feel this best shows your horse/pony to the judge. Collages must be submitted ready-made. Photos can be of horses ridden/in hand.
First prize: Medal to class winner.
Class 5 - Best All Rounder (Horses & ponies suitable for a variety of activities)
Sponsored by Nibbleze
Ready-made collages are encouraged and should ideally show your horse or pony taking part in a variety of equestrian disciplines.
First prize: A Slow Feed Haynet
Class 6 – Best Trot
Enter just a SINGLE picture of your equine trotting! Ridden, in hand, driven, or at liberty.
First prize: Medal to class winner.

Class 7 - Best Jump Shots
Open to all jump shots, can be ridden, inhand or at liberty. Collage or single photo is allowed. Entry must show the horse and rider if applicable over a jump, it can be cross country, showjump or just a little fence at home. The class will be judged on style, ability and if ridden the riders balance and position over a fence.
First prize: Medal to class winner.

Class 8 - Arena 1 CHAMPIONSHIP
All those placed 1st or 2nd in classes 1 - 7 will automatically be entered into this Championship class free of charge. The Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded a luxury rosette.
The Champion will go forward to be judged for SUPREME CHAMPION of the show

Class 9 - Condition and Turn out
Sponsored by Equine Answers Premium Supplements
To be judged on overall condition and presentation of the horse and rider/handler. Show attire not essential.
A full body photo is required and you may submit ready-made collage photos if you feel this best shows your horse or pony to the judge.
First prize: A 1kg tub of 365Complete (a superb high spec feed balancer helping keep horses in peak condition)
Class 10 - Best Solid Colour
Open to to all solid colours - Bays, Blacks, Greys, Chestnuts. (white facial and leg markings accepted)
A SINGLE FULL BODY photo showing off your horse
Class will be judged on conformation, condition, colour, presentation and overall wow factor.
First Prize: Medal to class winner.
Class 11 – Best Open Coloured
Open to all Palomino's, Dun, Roan, Spotted, Skewbald and Piebald horses

Class 12 - Natural Portrait Sponsored by Rachels Makery
A SINGLE head and shoulders photo with no tack or headcollar.

Class 13 - Best Calendar Shot (January)
Submit a SINGLE photo of the best equine calendar shot suitable for the month of January. No edits please. The photo must represent the country you are entering from.

Run in partnership with The International Horse Agility Club. Course plan and judged by Ellen Cochrane Full instructions of course layout need to be followed. Free photo entry to class winner, rosettes to 8th place. Horse Agility Course Plan January
The Horse Agility Accumulator will run from January 2025 - November 2025. Participant need to complete 6 competitions to qualify within the qualifying period. ENTRIES CLOSE ON THE 31st January 8PM

Class Criteria: Create your own collage featuring your pet, this can include images showing us your pets personality and playful things they may do. This collage should help the judge discover the joy and fun your pet brings to you.

Class Criteria: All entries need to show your pets enjoying life and being pampered​

Class Criteria: Entrants to submit a calendar shot appropriate for the current month and country you are entering from.

Class Criteria: Entrants to submit a single image of their pet with a beautiful background

Judging Criteria: A background that really stands out and your pet well presented.

Class 25 Best In Show
Best In Show Championship 1st placed entrants from classes 27-33 will automatically be entered in to this championship class free of charge. The overall winner will be crowned Best In Show and there will also be a Reserve. Both will receive a Over the back Sash and Championship Rosette.
Class 26 - SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP - ALL the Arena Champions will be automatically entered into this class
The winner will be crowned "SUPREME CHAMPION" of the show and be awarded a super Luxurious rosette and a Supreme Champion sash.

RULES

You can ride in your everyday tack & clothes, there are no bit restrictions, and you are also welcome to ride bitless

No artificial aids other than martingales are permitted

Whips and spurs are allowed

You do not need to ride in an arena

We encourage everyone taking part in the video showing to update their videos regularly

You are welcome to enter as many classes as you like
VIDEO GUIDELINES
-
Your horse should remain in the centre of the video at all times
-
You should aim for the horse to be filling no more than half of the height of the picture where possible
-
Video in the best possibly quality that your device allows
-
Sound to be recorded
-
The video must remain recording continuously from just before the horse begins until after the final halt
