We run an annual points-based ACCUMALATOR competition, giving you the opportunity to win more rosettes and prizes!

Every time you are placed in a class, you are awarded points on the accumulator score board. Full details can be found here.

SCHEDULE

Horses, ponies, donkeys & mules are ALL welcome.

Rosettes to 8th place in each class and the winner receives a prize and free entry into the Arena Championship.

Arena's 1,2 & 3: Photo Classes - Entry Fee: £3.50

ARENA 1 - Traditional Showing Breeds & Types

Class 1 – Best Ridden Horse or Pony (Photo/s of the horse ridden under saddle)

Sponsored by The Ripley Collection 

Open to all breeds and types. To be judged on conformation, way of going, and overall wow factor!

A full body photo is required and you may submit ready-made collage photos if you feel this best shows your horse or pony's type to the judge.

First prize:  An item from The Ripley Collection's Bespoke Equestrian Jewellery

 

Class 2 - Best In Hand Horse or Pony (Photo/s of the horse Inhand)

Open to all breeds and types. To be judged on conformation and overall wow factor!

A full body photo is required and you may submit ready-made collage if you feel this best shows your horse or pony to the judge

First prize: A Mane Show Equestrian Medal

Class 3 - Best Veteran age 15 + (Horses and ponies over the age of 15)

Ridden, Inhand, at liberty, or driven

You can choose any type of photo that you feel best shows off your veteran horse.

Please include your horses age with your entry.

Ready-made collage photos are allowed.

Class 4 - Youngstock (Horses and ponies 3 years and under) 

Inhand or at liberty - no ridden or driven photos

A full body photo is required and you may submit ready-made collage photos if you feel this best shows your horse or pony's type

Please include the age when the photo was taken in your entry.

Class 5 - Best All Rounder (Horses & ponies suitable for a variety of activities)

Ready-made collages are encouraged and should ideally show your horse or pony taking part in at least 3 different activities.

Class 6 Best UK Native - Open to all full & Part Breds

Ridden, Inhand, driven or at liberty. To be judged on the best true to type, conformation and wow factor.

Class 7 - Eventers Challenge Sponsored by Airframe Assemblies LTD 

.Submit a collage of JUST 3 photos covering the disciplines;  Dressage, Show Jumping, and Cross Country - these don’t have to be at a competition.

First prize: TBC by sponsor.

 

Class 8 - Alternative Horsemanship 

Show us your non 'traditional' or combined alternative and traditional equestrian skills. Bitless, bareback, bridle free, iron free, liberty work, non-ridden equines, and halter training etc. Pictures may be ridden, driven, in hand, or at liberty.

First Prize: A Mane Show Equestrian Medal.

​Class 9 - Arena 1 CHAMPIONSHIP 

All those placed 1st or 2nd in classes 1 - 8 and 28 (video class from arena 4) will automatically be entered into this Championship class free of charge. The Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded a luxury rosette.

The Champion will go forward to be judged for SUPREME CHAMPION of the show

ARENA 2 - Colours, Condition & Conformation

To be judged on overall condition and presentation of the horse and rider/handler. Show attire not essential.

A full body photo is required and you may submit ready-made collage photos if you feel this best shows your horse or pony

Class 11 –  Prettiest Mare

Submit a SINGLE photo showing off your mare or filly at her prettiest!

Open to all equines who have never been placed 1st or 2nd in any class at The Mane Show between January and April this year or, a new horses that you are competing with this season.

Submit either a single photo or ready-made collage that they feel best introduces their equine to us.

Class 20 – Best Calendar Shot - October

Submit a SINGLE photo of your best calendar shot suitable for the month of June (No edits)  This class will run every month this year for the current month

Class 24 Best Halloween or Autumn Scene - Sponsored by Paper Cuts by Hannah

Spooky season is here. Halloween fancy dress – we are looking for the perfect seasonal photo. Digital edits permitted. Entrants should submit a SINGLE photo. Halloween themed rosettes to 8th place.

First prize: £10 voucher off Hannah for a Papercut of your choice.

Class 25 - In Memory Of...   

Enter either a single photo or a ready-made collage that you feels best show of your rainbow bridge horse.

Whether they enjoy being around the horses or happier at home we would love to meet them

Class 27 - Arena 3 CHAMPIONSHIP - All those placed 1st or 2nd in classes 19-26 will automatically be entered in to this championship class free of charge. The Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded a luxury rosette

ARENA 4 - Video Showing Classes

Class 28 will be included in Arena 1 Championship.

Class 28 –  In Hand Showing (video) - Open to all types and breeds

To be judged on conformation, condition, movement and type.
Entrants to produce a video to include the following:

1. Halt at start and end of show (video side view of halt)

2. Walk away several strides (video to show horse walking away in a straight line from camera)

3. Walk right several strides to give a view of the horse walking from the side 

(so the side of horse in nearest the camera - imagine walking a triangle)

4. Walk back towards camera (horse walking towards the camera in a straight line)

5. Repeat above in trot - trot away, trot right and back

6. Halt - move around horse with camera so conformation can be captured from front, both sides and behind horse

Class 30 - SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP - ALL the Arena Champions will be automatically entered into this class

The winner will be crowned "Supreme Champion" of the show and awarded a super Luxurious rosette and a Supreme Champion sash.
